About this role

Salary: £52,000 - 92,000 per year

Requirements: We need experience with Google Cloud Platform and deep expertise in one or more of the listed areas: serverless (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions), Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, VPC networks and Service Perimeters, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner and Firestore, API management (including Apigee or Cloud Endpoints), data analytics services (including Dataproc, Dataflow, Data Fusion and Cloud Composer), and security controls (including Cloud IAM, PAM, VPC Service Controls and Security Command Centre).We need a sound understanding of architectural principles including microservices patterns, event-driven architectures and message queues, relational and non-relational databases, development and/or scripting (for example Python, Node, Bash), and security best practices for access control, data protection and communications.We would be thrilled if you also had knowledge of other cloud platforms.We would be thrilled if you also had automation DevOps experience using Google technology such as Cloud Build and open source tools such as Terraform.We are looking for an experienced person to join our Google Alliance team.We expect you to be pragmatic and to understand that building a platform is only part of cloud engineering.We expect you to communicate clearly with clients and peers in written, meeting, and workshop contexts.We expect you to be a confident problem solver and troubleshooter.We expect you to be confident and generous in sharing your specialist knowledge, ideas, and solutions.We expect you to know when a platform is fit for purpose.We expect you to be constantly learning and able to make others better by teaching and inspiring.We expect you to protect and enhance our reputation and credibility.We would love to hear from you even if you do not tick every box. Responsibilities: We need you to serve as a GCP Technical Lead and subject matter expert for delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform.We need you to set direction and take responsibility for successfully achieving outcomes and deliverables.You may lead a development team, support a team, or provide centralised expertise across multiple teams on a larger programme.We need you to lead higher-level architectural discussions.We need you to own or support DevSecOps processes across one or multiple teams, building strong principles and robust methods and patterns.We need you to have regular conversations with the client and act as one of the main points of engagement between the client and the project.Coaching and mentoring the team will be important.You will play an active role in technical account management.You will design ingenious GCP-enabled solutions and services for clients across industry sectors.You will learn and grow with our support as you further develop your specialisations and increase your GCP certifications.We expect a sleeves-up, fully associated, and immersive working week.All our people are client facing and empowered to achieve the best outcome for clients.We are guided by client work and needs, but you will have autonomy to manage your time and diary for work/life balance.
