Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year
Requirements: Degree level qualification in a relevant disciplineGood understanding of the Android architecture and ecosystem, including low level and securityExperience of Linux kernel and system programmingExperience optimising Linux/Android performance, including power managementExperience with most of the following: Binder, AIDL, services (C++/Java), framework APIs, NDK, JNI, CTS, SE LinuxExcellent knowledge of C++ in real-time, multi-processor, multi-threaded, event-driven softwareExperience of developing for mobile platformsExperience with development tools for debugging, profiling, code coverage, memory leak detection, and related analysisStructured working practices with a practical understanding of quality software development processesExperience with Linux open-source project configuration management and patching techniquesFamiliarity with working with a hardware development team, including interpretation of schematics and debugging using logic analysers and oscilloscopes Responsibilities: Develop, configure and tune the Android platformMake Android framework and service alterationsWork with the Android development toolchainCarry out Android platform development and kernel configuration, including modifications to the scheduler, performance optimisations and latency reductionTrial and integrate open-source development tools for debugging, profiling, code coverage and memory leak detectionPrototype demonstration systems to generate early feedback on proposed solutionsProduce architectural, design and test specificationsPerform integration testing, investigate issues and resolve defectsParticipate in project planning and technical reviewsWork as part of an agile scrum team to progress projects and produce mission-critical productsCollaborate with managers, team members and other departments across the business Technologies: AndroidHardwareSupportJavaLinuxMobileSecurityEmbeddedGit More:
