Salary: £48,000 - 69,000 per year
Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.We require a minimum of 3 years experience or demonstrated expertise developing image processing algorithms and applications as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.We require proficiency in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and low-level programming.We require experience working in Agile/SCRUM software development.We require excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.We value a masters degree.We value excellent programming skills in Python.We value experience in machine learning pipelines.We value experience developing embedded software or hardware-software integrated solutions.We value experience developing microscopy or scientific software.We value critical thinking, transparency, a continuous improvement mindset, and collaboration. Responsibilities: We build solutions that help scientists automate acquisition and analysis.We contribute to the delivery of high-quality enterprise-scale software solutions.We design, implement, and test high-performance C++ applications.We devise, implement, and test innovative image processing, analysis, and machine learning solutions to address nanoscale microscopy challenges and deliver value to our customers.We debug and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues at the system and signal level.We collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to align software behavior with hardware specifications.We write and maintain clear, well-documented, and testable code.We communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineering, product management, bioware, chemistry, and hardware, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of goals across departments.
