Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: Experience testing embedded software systems, ideally on Linux or QNX-based platformsStrong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages for test development and automationExperience working with embedded hardware platforms and understanding hardware/software interactionsProven ability to debug and triage complex issues across system layersUnderstanding of software testing principles, including automation, integration testing, and system validationExperience with hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing environmentsFamiliarity with sensor systems or data pipelines, such as camera, radar, or similarExperience working with CI/CD systems, such as Buildkite, and test pipeline integrationExposure to robotics, autonomous systems, or real-time software environments Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated tests for onboard software subsystems, including OS, middleware, sensors, and integration pointsValidate software behavior on embedded hardware platforms within hardware-in-the-loop environmentsCollaborate with software engineers to identify test gaps and build coverage for new and existing featuresDebug and triage system-level issues across software and hardware boundariesEnable developer self-service testing by contributing to CI pipelines and reusable test frameworksSupport expansion of test coverage by leveraging existing validation tests and shifting them earlier in the development cycle Technologies: AICI/CDEmbeddedHardwareSupportLinuxPythonRobotics More:
