Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year
Requirements: We require proven experience administering Oracle Database 19c in Windows Server environments.We require knowledge of best practices for user management, roles, and profiles to support secure, robust least-privilege access controls.We require hands-on experience with Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and Patch Set Updates (PSU), including patch assessment, planning, and implementation using OPatch.We require experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.We require systems development lifecycle experience, from design through to testing.Defence domain knowledge is desirable.All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, typically with 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency depending on the vetting level required. Responsibilities: We work across the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, specification, implementation, and acceptance testing.We design and implement database tables and database models.We implement database packages using Structured Query Language (SQL).We monitor and enhance Oracle database performance.We monitor the Oracle website for updates, engage with Oracle to request patches, and horizon scan for vulnerabilities.We configure Windows, Linux, and RHEL operating systems.We create bespoke applications and automated deployment using PowerShell.
