Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements: Experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry.Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.Strong knowledge in the development and execution of controls.Proven experience in control-related functions in the financial industry.Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes.Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.Understanding of our Policies, Standards, and Procedures.Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at the senior management level.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Bachelors/University degree; Masters degree preferred. Responsibilities: Support the assessment of activities and processes as per required Policies, Standards, and Procedures to strengthen risk management quality.Conduct routine testing of internal activities and processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards and identify areas of risk or non-compliance.Help review stakeholder/client feedback and respond to quality assurance complaints or issues in a timely and efficient manner.Support quality testing performed for business function quality control and transformation lead quality control post completion of an activity or process.Help develop and execute Monitoring and Testing for controls, including control design assessment and design of operational effectiveness for monitoring and testing tools, monitoring/testing design assessment, and execution of monitoring/testing tools.Support reporting on quality control outcomes and control effectiveness to top management and relevant stakeholders.Stay up to date with the latest quality assurance testing tools and strategies.Help teams involved in the end-to-end monitoring of the controls as defined in Risk Management policy.Participate in the review and challenge process on the effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks, including implementation and operation, conducting control monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution.Support embedding risk and control responsibilities and accountabilities within Central Testing Utility.Involve in Control & Monitoring Design Assessment meetings and help draft procedures.Identify monitoring breaks and suggest enhancements.Assess risk appropriately when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for our reputation and safeguarding our clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
