Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with experience building eTrading solutions, including market connectivity, price distribution, or RFQ engines.We need someone who understands and has experience building D2D, D2C, and bilateral eTrading connectivity.We are seeking strong proficiency in Java/Spring, with expertise in developing FIX trading solutions.We need experience working with trading desks, strategists, and quants for L3 support on production trading systems, as well as requirements gathering and solution design for new builds.We are looking for experience growing eTrading engineering talent.We need in-depth knowledge of Credit or Rates eTrading workflows and market structure.We are seeking proficiency in debugging and profiling JDK-based languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Clojure.We need advanced experience with JDK CI/CD and build toolchains including Maven, Gradle, SBT, and Jenkins.We are looking for experience with modern RPC microservices, specifically GraphQL and gRPC.We need proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, including shell basics and process and network diagnostics.We are seeking exposure to monitoring, metrics, and tracing tooling such as ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Graphite, OpenTSDB, OpenTrace, or Jaeger.We need exposure to message-oriented architecture technologies such as ZeroMQ, JMS, AMPS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google pub/sub.We are looking for exposure to process and container orchestration technologies such as Mesos, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker.We need strong data architecture experience across SQL and NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB, or HBase.We are seeking experience with reactive streams implementations and observables such as ReactiveX, Akka Streams, Monix, or Spring Reactor.Skills that will help include understanding of machine architecture and natively compiled languages such as C++ and Rust.Skills that will help include experience with CQRS architecture.Skills that will help include experience with Scala functional and/or concurrency libraries such as ZIO. Responsibilities: We will have you support the continued existing Credit eTrading technology stack.We will have you lead the buildout of shared services for eTrading across FICC.We will have you lead design discussions and the build of eTrading software used in market connectivity, price distribution, or RFQ engines.We will have you work with trading desks, strategists, and quants on production support and new build solution design.We will have you help develop and grow eTrading engineering talent.
