Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for someone with strong experience across Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365 / E5 environments, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive, Multi-Factor Authentication, DLP and identity management is required.Experience across SaaS and IaaS environments, device and mobility management, Windows Server and Windows operating systems is required.Experience with VMware and enterprise storage, VPN, SASE and cloud security technologies, and SIEM/security monitoring platforms is required.Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript or equivalent scripting languages is required.Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef or Puppet is required.Knowledge or experience across CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories and relational databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle would be advantageous.Relevant Microsoft certifications would be beneficial, including Microsoft 365 Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, and Endpoint Administrator Associate.Equivalent commercial experience will also be considered. Responsibilities: We are responsible for maintaining the performance, availability and security of core systems and services.We work across cloud and on-premise infrastructure, owning complex incidents and problems through to resolution while supporting technical change, projects and the introduction of new services.We support and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.We act as a technical escalation point for Service Desk and Desktop Support teams.We investigate, diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues.We manage and maintain core systems, applications, hardware and cloud platforms.We monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity.We identify recurring technical problems and implement preventative solutions.We deliver system changes in line with established change control processes.We support backup, disaster recovery and restoration procedures.We contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects, owning assigned technical deliverables.We produce detailed technical documentation, solution designs and support procedures.We automate operational processes, provisioning and reporting through scripting and orchestration.We support security, vulnerability management and technical risk assessments.We work with third-party technology providers to resolve escalated technical issues. We are a growing IT Operations function based in Leeds / Doncaster, with 3 days on site, offering a salary of 45,000. This is a senior technical operations role for an experienced Operations Engineer who will take ownership of core infrastructure, cloud platforms and business-critical services.
