About this role

Salary: £28,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements: A strong understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, metadata, lineage and ownership.Experience working with data in an operational, analytical or data-focused role.Excellent attention to detail and a passion for improving data accuracy and quality.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain data concepts clearly.Confidence collaborating across business and technical teams to drive positive outcomes.Experience with data governance, data quality or metadata management tools, such as Microsoft Purview, is desirable.Familiarity with data models, data flow diagrams and governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK is desirable.An interest in promoting data literacy and embedding best practice across an organisation.A proactive mindset with a desire to continuously improve processes and ways of working. Responsibilities: Supporting the implementation and ongoing operation of our Data Governance framework.Maintaining governance documentation, including data definitions, standards and quality rules.Supporting the rollout and adoption of data governance tools and platforms.Monitoring data quality and assisting with issue investigation, root cause analysis and remediation activities.Managing and maintaining metadata, business glossaries and data dictionaries.Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to promote governance best practice.Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data quality and governance processes. We are looking for a Data Governance Executive to join our growing Data Management team and support the development of strong, effective data governance practices across the organisation. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, flexible hours, and flexibility around school pick up and drop offs. The role can be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Marlow or Newcastle. We support individuality, different perspectives and every background, and we can provide support or adjustments during our recruitment process if needed.
