Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year
Requirements: We require a relevant degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale network environment.We require experience in a network-focused hands-on technical role working with routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large-scale data centre and/or Wide Area Networking (WAN) environments.We require experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems.We require experience in a technical on-call capacity, responding to customer impacting events, mitigating issues, and carrying out root cause analysis.We require knowledge and experience of interacting with many network devices at a time through networking configuration tools, Infrastructure as Code, or scripting.We require that applicants be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance. Responsibilities: We lead network projects in network sustaining engineering, network deployment and implementation, network scaling, technology refresh, best practices application, and/or network optimization.We influence our operations function by responding to customer impact events and requests, troubleshooting, and improving the automation that runs our network.We analyse the network using tools and metrics to ensure it is operating correctly, safely, and securely.We investigate technical issues scientifically and thoroughly, and assist in fixing complex problems so they do not come back.We plan, deliver, and simplify new systems, processes, and tools to better serve our customers.We deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, optimising and removing bottlenecks.We understand new and upcoming networking systems and develop ways of safely implementing them into our environment.
