Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year
Requirements: We want someone who takes pride in designing, building, and delivering high-quality, well-engineered solutions to complex problems.We want someone who takes a big-picture approach to solving problems and ensures solutions work well within the wider system.We are looking for commercial Scala experience or functional programming experience with languages such as Java.We want experience across the full engineering lifecycle, from design and implementation through to testing and deployment.We are looking for passion and drive to grow within one of the UKs fastest growing scale-ups.Experience with big data technology, ideally Spark, but Hadoop or Elasticsearch would also be useful, would be beneficial but is not essential.Experience with DevOps tooling and approaches would be beneficial but is not essential.Experience building data processing pipelines for production batch systems, including traditional ETL and/or analytics pipelines, would be beneficial but is not essential.Experience manipulating data through cleansing, parsing, and standardising, especially to improve data quality and integrity, would be beneficial but is not essential. Responsibilities: We play a key role in shaping one of the most critical components of our Decision Intelligence platform: Decision Systems.We turn complex, interconnected data into actionable insights, helping global organizations detect patterns, uncover risks, and make smarter decisions.We work across the software stack, from enhancing scoring capabilities to uncover financial crime, to building tools that make detection logic easier and more powerful for our users.We directly influence how clients identify suspicious activity and protect their businesses.We take features from concept to release with autonomy, collaborating closely with product teams and delivery experts to design solutions that make a real impact.We use the latest agentic AI tooling in software development.We build new tooling to allow users to configure detection logic more easily and effectively.We enhance the platform so that existing scores can be applied across a wider range of scenarios.We improve system performance so even the largest datasets can be analysed efficiently.We collaborate within one of three sub-teams in Decision Systems focused on scoring capability.
