Salary: £61,000 - 93,000 per year
Requirements: Expert SQL proficiency, including complex and efficient queries on large datasets in BigQuery.Strong working knowledge of search and personalisation analytics, including search algorithms, recommendation engines, and personalisation models.Strong technical skills in data analysis and statistics, particularly in evaluating ranking quality.Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Looker or Looker Studio.Ability to tell a compelling story with data to influence product roadmaps.Experience designing A/B tests, interpreting significance and results, and recommending what to test next.A curious, problem-solving mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and a customer-centric approach. Responsibilities: Act as the go-to technical expert for the Search domain, specialising in search relevancy, zero-result analysis, and personalisation logic.Help shape best practice within the team and support a best-in-class data environment.Write expert-level SQL queries using Google BigQuery and Notebooks to derive complex insights, with a focus on query performance and user retrieval patterns.Work closely with Product and Engineering Managers to track the metrics that matter and help them understand product and feature performance.Collaborate with researchers to interpret qualitative data and better understand the customer holiday research journey.Create and configure advanced dashboards to report Search KPIs such as CTR, ranking position, and zero-results.Design and interpret A/B tests across search and personalisation, and make evidence-based recommendations on what to test next.Lead complex investigations with a methodical, best-practice approach to ensure high-quality output.Act as a senior role model within the analytics function, sharing best practice and mentoring others by example.
