Salary: £60,000 - 88,000 per year
Requirements: Proven success in a hands-on Salesforce development role, with experience delivering and owning complex Salesforce solutions.Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL/SOSL.Strong Salesforce configuration skills, including Flow, object modelling, validation rules, security, and sharing.Experience making or contributing meaningfully to technical design and architecture decisions, rather than only implementing predefined solutions.Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, or similar integration patterns.Strong understanding of automated testing, code quality, and code review practices.Experience working with Git-based version control and modern Salesforce development and deployment practices.Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical or production issues.Strong communication skills, with experience working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand problems, challenge assumptions, and explain technical trade-offs clearly.A collaborative approach and experience supporting, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to other developers.Good judgement around when to use code versus declarative Salesforce functionality, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and platform health. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and declarative tools such as Flow, validation rules, and Salesforce configuration.Own complex features and technical changes end to end, from understanding the business problem and shaping the technical approach through to testing, release, and production support.Make and contribute to technical design decisions across areas such as object modelling, automation, security and sharing, integrations, and platform architecture.Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and other appropriate integration patterns.Identify technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early, and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Write high-quality, maintainable code and automated tests, and provide thoughtful code reviews that improve both the solution and the capability of the wider team.Troubleshoot complex production issues, investigate root causes, and help improve platform resilience and observability.Work closely with Product, Commercial, Operations, and other engineering teams to challenge requirements where appropriate and ensure solutions address the underlying business need.Contribute to the evolution of engineering practices across the team, including Git-based development, CI/CD, Salesforce DX, testing, release management, and documentation.Support and mentor other developers and admins, sharing knowledge and helping raise technical standards across the team.Proactively identify opportunities to simplify existing solutions, reduce technical debt, improve platform performance, and make Salesforce easier to maintain and evolve.Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decision-making so that knowledge is shared effectively across the team.
