Requirements: We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux/Software Engineer.We need strong skills in C/C++, Bash, and Python.We require proficiency with the Yocto framework for application design, base OS modifications, and kernel modules.We expect knowledge of a Linux-based development environment, especially Ubuntu.We need experience with real-time communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C.We need experience with inter-process communication protocols, especially IP-based protocols.We require an understanding of electronics and the ability to communicate effectively with hardware engineers.We value excellent documentation skills.We prefer working knowledge of Rust.We prefer familiarity with safety-critical embedded systems.We prefer knowledge of Git and GitHub.We prefer familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.We prefer experience with project management tools.We prefer understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.We prefer knowledge of telemetry and command systems.We prefer experience with formal verification methods for critical software components.We prefer experience implementing Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) systems for embedded applications. Responsibilities: We maintain and develop daemons that interface with embedded systems using low-level and higher-level protocols for business logic.We implement communication interfaces between embedded systems and higher-level processes.We integrate C libraries for specific hardware interfaces.We contribute to the design and implementation of fault-tolerant systems.We collaborate closely with our Electrical Engineering team to ensure optimal software-hardware integration.We spin up new designs and maintain existing products with Yocto, focused on Xilinx MPSoC systems and other platforms as needed.We work in a fast-paced environment where the design-to-launch cycle is measured in weeks and months.
