Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year
Requirements: We have experience using Python and SQL.We have strong proficiency in data manipulation, including packages like NumPy and Pandas.We understand machine learning techniques and their pros and cons.We communicate confidently and work effectively within a team environment.We are self-driven and willing to lead projects and new initiatives.Nice to have: prior experience in credit risk for consumer lending or credit cards, especially in the US market.Nice to have: interest in machine learning engineering.Nice to have: strong SQL skills and an interest in data engineering. Responsibilities: We develop proprietary behavioural models using a variety of data sources to inform underwriting, pricing, scorecard development, and risk management decisions.We work across the business in a multidisciplinary capacity to identify issues, translate business problems into data questions, analyse data, and propose solutions.We self-serve with deployment and monitoring, without a separate machine learning engineering team.We design, implement, manage, and evaluate experiments for products and services to drive constant innovation and improvement.We learn the domain of the products we serve and use that understanding to contribute effectively to strategy and risk modelling.We rigorously search for the best models that improve underwriting quality.We communicate results clearly to stakeholders through verbal and written communication.We share ideas with the wider team and contribute to our collective knowledge.
