Your position In your new position as Service Technician in the Renewables – Operations & Maintenance division, you will become a valuable member of a dedicated team responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of Balance of Plant (BoP) installations across Europe. You will work hands-on with mechanical maintenance, corrective work and troubleshooting, while contributing to planning, method development and high-quality reporting and documentation. The position also offers an exciting opportunity to broaden your technical skillset. If you are not already a Category 1 Cooling Authorized technician, you will have the opportunity to develop your competencies within HVAC and cooling systems. Above all, your work will make a real difference for the global energy sector. Your place of work will be our Global HQ in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront. The position is full-time, and you can expect approximately 100 travel days per year, primarily across Europe. Your tasks & responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing mechanical maintenance and corrective activities on offshore and onshore BoP installations, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard. Your tasks will include but are not limited to: Executing inspections, replacements, repairs and general mechanical servicing on site Troubleshooting and fault-finding on systems including hydraulics, rotating equipment, lifting systems, generators, valves and pumps Contributing to planning and work preparation, including material requirements, resources and time estimates Developing and improving Method Statements in collaboration with Site Leads and Back Office Engineering Reporting completed work and ensuring compliance with quality, documentation and HSE requirements Your profile & qualifications We are looking for an outgoing, structured and technically minded Service Technician who enjoys hands-on field work and is motivated by solving technical challenges. You have a proactive and independent approach to your work, thrive in an environment with many interfaces, and are eager to develop your technical skillset – including within HVAC and cooling systems. To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have: Mechanical background, for example as a mechanic with experience in cranes, generators or similar equipment, or an existing Category 1 Cooling Authorization Experience with maintenance, repair and mechanical field work, preferably involving hydraulics, rotating equipment or lifting systems Technical understanding of mechanical installations and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve faults independently Experience from offshore or international work environments is an advantage, as is holding relevant GWO certificates Structured and safety-conscious approach, with strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills Welcome to Semco Maritime At Semco Maritime, we create change.
