Job Description:

Job Duck is seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Law & Transactional Legal Assistant to provide essential support to attorneys handling a variety of business and transactional matters. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing legal documents, coordinating transactions, managing client information, and ensuring matters move forward efficiently from start to finish. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the legal team by maintaining accurate records, tracking important deadlines, and providing high quality administrative and legal support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently. Compensation Range: 1150 USD to 1220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Upload required information, documents, and service materials.

• Coordinate document execution, signatures, and transaction closing processes.

• Conduct administrative and legal support tasks to facilitate efficient transaction management.

• Assist in improving administrative processes and document management workflows to increase efficiency.

• Review legal documents for completeness, formatting consistency, and attention to detail.

• Customize legal templates and contracts based on attorney instructions and client needs..

• Independently manage assigned tasks and priorities while providing proactive support to the legal team.

• Follow established firm procedures when preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents.

• Protect confidential client, firm, and legal information.

• Communicate with clients, vendors, and third parties in a professional and courteous manner.

• Manage legal files, organize electronic records, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.

• Draft, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, agreements, contracts, and business related correspondence

• Assist with business entity formations, governance documents, and corporate record maintenance.

• Gather, organize, and maintain client information and documentation required for transactions and corporate matters.

• Support attorneys with business law and transactional matters throughout all stages of client engagements.

• Coordinate with attorneys and staff while independently managing assigned responsibilities.

• Track deadlines, follow up on outstanding documents, and support attorneys in meeting client commitments.

• Provide support for business transactional matters.

• Utilize Clio and related legal technology platforms to manage matters, documents, and workflows.

• Prepare transaction files and supporting documentation for attorney review.contracts and assist with legal drafting.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting attorneys in business law, corporate law, or transactional legal matters is required.

• Experience drafting, revising, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and business correspondence is required. • Experience managing legal documentation, transaction files, and client records is required. • Experience gathering and organizing information related to business transactions is preferred. • Experience coordinating document execution, signatures, and closing processes is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. • Experience using legal practice management software is preferred. • Knowledge of legal document preparation and contract administration processes is highly preferred. • Experience with Clio is preferred. • Experience with RoboForm is preferred. • Experience with artificial intelligence assisted legal tools is a plus. • Time Zone: Mountain Standard Time.
