We are seeking an exceptional Pupil Belonging and Attendance Champion to join our Trust Inclusion Team and help ensure that every child feels connected, valued and able to thrive within their school community.

This is a unique opportunity to influence and improve attendance practice across a family of 27 academies serving more than 19,000 children and young people. Working alongside school leaders, pastoral teams, families and external agencies, you will play a pivotal role in removing barriers, strengthening relationships and creating the conditions in which all pupils can succeed.

About the roleThis is a highly influential Trust-wide position that combines strategic leadership with hands-on support. You will work across our primary, secondary and special school settings to develop outstanding attendance practice, drive improvement and champion inclusion.

The successful candidate will:

Lead and support the development of effective attendance systems and practice across our academies.Analyse attendance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.Support schools with complex and vulnerable pupil cases.Work directly with families to overcome barriers to attendance and engagement.Coach and develop attendance leads, pastoral leaders and senior staff.Collaborate with local authorities and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for children and young people.Help create a culture where attendance is understood as a consequence of belonging, engagement and positive relationships.Who are we looking for?You may currently be:

An experienced Attendance Leader.A Family Support Practitioner.A Pastoral or Inclusion Leader.An Education Welfare professional.A Safeguarding practitioner with significant attendance experience.Most importantly, you will be someone who understands that improving attendance requires curiosity, empathy, challenge and determination in equal measure.

You will bring:
