We are looking for a friendly, professional Ward Clerk (fixed term 12 month contract) with a passion for making a difference to others.

You’ll be working at Cygnet Victoria House, helping ensure the smooth and safe management of our care.

Cygnet Victoria House is a 26 bed mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community.

Your day-to-day...

Assist cli nical staff in ward administrationEnsuring accurate recording & circulation of informationFile all patient case notes & conduct regular audits to ensure all paperwork is up to dateComplete all ward filing in line with Cygnet policiesAnswer telephone, cover reception & undertake other administrative duties as requiredEnsure that reports are submitted on time & that care plans are accurate & up to dateLiaise with medical secretaries to ensure timely submission of reports Why Cygnet? Experienced in administration in a fast-paced hospital environmentOrganised, diligent & can strictly adhere to processes & proceduresKnowledgeable of mental health & patient confidentiality issuesSkilled at inputting, pulling & analysing data using Microsoft ExcelProficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etcAn excellent verbal & written communicator with strong interpersonal skillsAble to swiftly solve problems & work under pressure without compromising quality Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
