About this role

Job summary

The 0-19 Safeguarding Administrator will provide seamless and confidential administrative support to the 0-19 Public Health Nursing (PHN) Service on all matters relating to safeguarding andwill maintain a strong working relationship with the Croydon Health Integrated Safeguarding Team to ensure continuity and act as a key liaison between the two services, providing efficient and effective support to the PHN Service.

The post holder will work under the direction of the Business Support Officer and be required to support the 0-19 PHN Administration team, Business Support Officer and any other members of the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service.

They will liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments, and external agencies to ensure continuity of service and contribute to achieving excellence in patient care.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an Administrator to work within the Croydon 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service (PHN), providing comprehensive, high-quality administrative support to the service.

Attention to detail and the ability to accurately update databases are essential requirements for this role as well as excellent communication skills. We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate a methodical and logical approach to work. The post holder will be required to work to deadlines and manage priorities within a busy office environment. As priorities can change, a flexible approach and the ability to use initiative are essential.

The post holder will be required to coordinate their activities with other members of the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Administration Team, including providing cover for colleagues when required. Therefore, a team-oriented approach is essential to ensure an efficient, professional and confidential service is delivered at all times.

Experience Essential

Experience of working in a secretarial / administrative role in the NHS or similar environment Experience of using a range of office systems and software Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software packages Understand the importance of confidentiality Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with an effective and courteous telephone manner Demonstrate honesty and integrity.
