Foundry Primary Care Network is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse with a special interest in Women's Health to join our growing multidisciplinary team for 3 days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across our PCN, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and helping to improve access to women's health services within the local community.
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive nurse who is passionate about promoting women's health and wellbeing and who enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
We would particularly welcome applications from nurses who are trained in contraceptive implant insertion and removal and/or intrauterine device (coil) fitting, enabling us to further enhance the range of women's health services available to our patients.
Interviews will be held from 7th of October 2026
Main duties of the job
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of women's health services, including:
Cervical screening and smear clinics Contraception advice and support Menopause care and health promotion Sexual health assessment and signposting Health education and preventative care Supporting patients with long-term conditions as appropriate Working collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, social prescribers and wider PCN colleagues Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration Experience working in General Practice or Primary Care Competent in cervical cytology (smear taking) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to high standards of patient care
Desirable
Additional qualifications or training in Women's Health Experience supporting menopause services Contraception and sexual health experience Competence in contraceptive implant insertion and removal Competence in intrauterine contraception (coil) fitting and removal Experience in chronic disease management Familiarity with SystmOne
