Job summary

Have you considered 'leafy Lytham?' Our progressive and friendly practice is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative salaried GP to contribute to the team. The practice is situated in Ansdell and very close to Lytham and St Annes, which is well known for its modern cafes, bars, and restaurants. The town also enjoys excellent local schools, has great family facilities, championship golf courses, rugby clubs, and it hosts the ever-expanding annual Lytham Festival. Lytham benefits from excellent motorway links, just a short drive away from Manchester, but it is also very accessible by train and on a major bus route. There is always something fun happening in the area! Our Practice team comprises 3 GP partners, 4 salaried GP, Physician Assistant, Practice Pharmacist, Medicines Management team and a highly skilled Nursing team. We offer an enthusiastic and supportive administration and reception staff. Our surgery is team focussed with regular team building events.

We have a good working relationship with local practices and are active in the LSA Primary Care Network. Mentorship programme is offered for new team members, with encouragement of special interests. We hold weekly practice meetings daily lunch time coffee catch up's and monthly clinical meetings.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an experienced general practitioner, who acting within their professional boundaries; will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision- making and expert care for patients within the general practice.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

The post holder will build effective working relationships with other health care professionals.

The post holder will work within the team of clinicians to deliver excellent primary health care services within the practice.
