This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining safe and effective learning environments. Working closely with teachers and scholars, you will be instrumental in ensuring practical science lessons run smoothly and safely.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Science Technician, you will:
Prepare, organise and maintain equipment, materials and resources for practical science lessons.Support teachers and scholars during practical activities, helping to create engaging and effective learning experiences.Ensure laboratories, classrooms and preparation areas are maintained to a high standard and ready for use.Promote and maintain excellent health and safety practices across the Science department.Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and cleaning of laboratory equipment and resources.Monitor stock levels and manage the ordering, receipt and storage of supplies and equipment.Maintain accurate records relating to health and safety, servicing schedules and departmental resources.Safely handle, store and dispose of chemicals, specimens and waste materials in accordance with current regulations.Assist with equipment checks, calibration and minor repairs where appropriate.Support departmental audits and contribute to maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking an individual who:
