About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond case management and lead a whole-school approach to SEND. You will be at the forefront of driving proactive identification, intervention, and culture change, ensuring every child’s needs are supported with ambition and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic SEND leadership across the whole provision Systematic identification and monitoring of need using the SEN register Leading and coordinating EHCP reviews and monitoring the progress of pupils with additional needs
Oversight and co-production of IEPs with families Leading evidence-based interventions and adaptive teaching improvement Delivering high-quality SEND CPD for all staff Coordinating multi‑agency support and enhancing parental engagement Ensuring compliance with National SEND Standards and Ofsted/LA readiness Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEND provision and contributing to whole-school development planning. We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree Holds NASENCO or equivalent Has strong leadership and SEND experience, ideally in alternative provision Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and effective intervention strategies Has excellent communication, data analysis, and digital skills Has the ability to lead and inspire staff, families, and professionals Is committed to early intervention and inclusion.
