5 Dimensions Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Finance Manager to join our central finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our family of schools and ensuring that resources are managed effectively to deliver the best possible outcomes for pupils.
Reporting to the Trust Finance Manager, you will provide financial management support to a portfolio of schools, including both primary and secondary academies. You will be responsible for producing high-quality financial information, monitoring budgets, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with Trust financial procedures. The role will also include line management responsibility for up to three Finance Assistants.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing monthly management accounts and budget monitoring reports. Supporting Headteachers and budget holders to understand financial performance. Monitoring budgets and investigating variances. Managing month-end processes, reconciliations and VAT returns. Supporting year-end accounts and audit requirements. Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance. Building positive working relationships across schools and the wider Trust. What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Is AAT qualified, part AAT qualified or qualified through experience. Has experience of management accounts, budgeting and financial reporting. Has strong Excel and financial systems skills. Can communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues. Has experience supervising or supporting finance staff. Is organised, accurate and committed to delivering excellent service. Experience within a school, academy or Multi Academy Trust environment is desirable but not essential.
Further Information
This role will involve travel between Trust schools and therefore access to a vehicle is desirable.
