The St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Governors, staff and children of Kingsland CofE Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and committed team.

Job Purpose
To assist in the maintenance and security of the school premises and site, ensuring a safe workingenvironment, as directed.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Ensure that buildings and site are secure, undertaking daily security checks including locking andunlocking of buildings at pre-determined timesKeep records relating to maintenance and securityPerform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazardsare identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediatelyUndertake general portage duties including moving furniture and equipment within schoolUndertake minor repairs (i.e. not requiring qualified craftsperson) and maintenance of the buildingsand siteReplacing such consumables on the premises in appropriate locations as are not covered byalternative arrangements, e.g. toilet rolls, soap, towels etc.Operate systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security (including CCTV and alarms)Receive deliveries to the school siteMinor plant maintenance in accordance with agreed working practices and procedures. E.g.lubrication of heating pumpsCollect and assemble waste for collectionPeriodic cleaning of designated areas of the school building and grounds according to instructionsAssist with the maintenance of specialised equipment following training, for examplesports/theatrical equipmentUndertake lettings and carry out associated tasks, in line with local agreementsAct as a designated key holder, providing emergency access to the school siteAct as school contact in relation to premises related contractorsOrganise testing for asbestos and other health and safety proceduresBe responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within theacademy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/proceduresAny other duties appropriate to the post.Our Offer To You
