About this role

Great Wishford Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant to support the Wraparound Care Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of our before-school breakfast club provision.

Contract: Fixed term (until 23rd July 2027). Working Hours: Part time (5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year). Required: ASAP

We are a caring and happy single form entry school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the picturesque village of Great Wishford, Wiltshire, we have been open for over 300 years and, in that time, have built strong relationships with the local community and Great Wishford Church. Our strong Christian ethos underpins our teaching and learning and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment where children are challenged and supported. We focus on each child’s unique potential and help them develop the resilience to keep trying, the confidence to believe they can reach their goals and have pride in themselves for who they are. We are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.

The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves assisting with the planning and organising of a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children;Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;Is self-motivated, energetic and proactive and will support in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality education and care for all of our children;Has experience of working with children in a play / educational setting;Has Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one); Is a strong team player;Has a positive and flexible attitude;Can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with children;Is First Aid trained (advantageous).We can offer the successful candidate:
