Support General Biology labs by preparing materials, assisting students, and ensuring proper lab procedures are followed. Ideal for students with a strong science background and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies:

• Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, communicate changes in work schedule in advance, and wear appropriate attire – P

• Assist with lab setup, including making standard solutions and using lab instruments independently – TW, CT, T

• Arrive 15 minutes before lab to ensure readiness – P

• Assist students during lab and foster inclusive participation – C, CT, L, CTR

• Ensure all safety regulations are followed by self and students – P, L, CT

• Ensure labs are cleaned and equipment is returned and powered off after sessions – C, TW, L

• Provide clerical support, proofreading, photocopying, and filing; assist on additional projects – TW

• Grade lab reports while maintaining confidentiality – C, P, CT

• Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines – P, L

• Communicate your skills and availability in your application letter – CSD

• Perform other duties as determined by the supervisor – P, TW
