About this role
🌊 Who We Are
At Seaside Plumbing, we’re not just fixing plumbing—we’re restoring peace, uplifting lives, and raising the standard of what service in the trades looks like.
And now, we’re looking toward what comes next.
As Seaside explores expanding into HVAC, we’re interested in connecting with an experienced Master HVAC License Holder & Trainer who could help us build that next chapter the right way.
This is not currently an open position.
This is a call for interested professionals who may want the opportunity to help us build, train, and shape an HVAC program from the ground up.
⚠️ Let’s Be Clear (Read This First)
We’re not looking for someone to simply hang their license on the wall.
We’re looking for someone who knows the trade—and wants to develop the people who will carry it forward.
Someone who can teach.
Someone who can build systems.
Someone who can turn years of field knowledge into a repeatable training program.
And someone who gets excited about helping build something that doesn’t exist yet.
👉 We want to build HVAC the Seaside way—and we’re looking for the right person to help us do it.
🔧 What You Could Help Us Build
As our Master HVAC License Holder & Trainer, you would play a foundational role in developing Seaside’s future HVAC operation.
That could include:
• Serving as a Master HVAC license holder for the organization
• Developing and executing a structured HVAC apprenticeship and training curriculum
• Providing hands-on technical instruction to developing HVAC apprentices
• Establishing standards for safe, code-compliant, high-quality HVAC work
• Helping develop training materials, skills assessments, and progression standards
• Coaching apprentices through increasing levels of technical competency
• Supporting the development of future HVAC technicians
• Partnering with leadership as we develop our HVAC processes, standards, and training systems
• Working alongside our Plumbing Trainer and operational leaders to create meaningful cross-training opportunities for our existing plumbing professionals
• Helping us build a culture where HVAC professionals take the same pride in their craft that we expect from our plumbing team
This isn't about inheriting somebody else's HVAC program.
It's about helping us build ours.
đź’Ş What Success Could Look Like
You help turn our vision for HVAC into a real, sustainable training program.
Apprentices have a clear path from new to the trade → developing apprentice → capable HVAC professional.
Training is structured, practical, and grounded in what technicians actually encounter in the field.
Our plumbing professionals gain useful HVAC knowledge through thoughtful cross-training.
Quality, safety, code compliance, and craftsmanship become part of the program from Day One.
And eventually, the people you trained become the people capable of training the next generation.
🧠What Makes This Opportunity Different
This isn't just another Master HVAC position.
We’re looking for someone who could have a hand in building an entire trade within an established company.
Seaside already believes heavily in:
• Apprenticeship and career development
• Hands-on technical training
• Coaching and mentorship
• Building repeatable systems
• Investing in our people
• Creating real career paths within the trades
We're looking for an HVAC professional who shares that philosophy.
You bring the HVAC expertise.
We bring an established operation, an existing team of tradespeople, training infrastructure, leadership support, and a company ready to grow.
👉 Together, we build what comes next.
🧩 Who We’d Like to Meet
We’d especially like to hear from someone who:
• Holds an active Master HVAC license
• Has significant hands-on HVAC experience
• Has experience training, mentoring, or developing technicians and apprentices
• Can translate technical knowledge into structured, understandable training
• Is capable of writing, building, and executing an HVAC curriculum
• Understands applicable HVAC codes, safety requirements, and industry standards
• Enjoys developing people as much as performing the work
• Can work collaboratively with trainers, managers, and field professionals
• Is excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up
Formal training experience is valuable—but so is being the person everyone in the shop has always gone to when they needed to learn how to do something correctly.
đźš« Who This Is NOT For
This probably isn't the right opportunity if you:
• Want to provide a license but aren't interested in actively developing people
• Have deep technical knowledge but little patience for teaching
• Aren't interested in documenting or systemizing what you know
• Resist collaboration or cross-training between trades
• Prefer maintaining an existing program over helping build a new one
• Believe apprentices should simply “figure it out” in the field
We want to develop professionals intentionally.
📍 Location
Seaside Plumbing operates out of Bishopville, Maryland, serving homeowners across the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware.
As we explore our HVAC expansion, licensing requirements and the geographic scope of the future operation will be an important part of that development.
đź’™ Our Values
These values aren't just words on a wall—they guide our decisions, shape our culture, and set the standard for how we work together.
Ownership — Take initiative. Own the outcome. Leave it better than you found it.
Empathy — Lead with humanity, care and understanding.
Courage — Embrace discomfort. Do the hard things. Growth follows.
Gratitude — There is always something to be grateful for. Find it. Share it.
Authenticity — Be your weird self and respect that in others. You shine brighter that way.
🔥 Final Word
We aren't hiring for this position today. We're looking for the person who might help us build it tomorrow.
If you've spent years mastering HVAC and have reached the point in your career where teaching, mentoring, and building something lasting sounds exciting, we want to know you.
We're especially interested in professionals who look at a young apprentice and don't just see a helper—
They see the technician that person could become with the right training.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to start a conversation.
👉 Help us build the next generation of Seaside tradespeople.
