SDR is looking for a dedicated Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Stroud House Residential Care Home in Petersfield. This is an opportunity to work as part of a supportive night team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to older individuals, including residents living with dementia and complex needs.

About the Role
As a Care Assistant (nights), you will play an important role in ensuring our residents are safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing personal care and support with daily living.
• Supporting residents throughout the night with their individual needs.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting residents' mobility, wellbeing and independence.
• Caring for residents living with dementia and complex needs.
• Following individual care plans and respecting personal choices.
• Completing accurate care records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
• Responding calmly and appropriately to residents' needs during the night.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide safe and high-quality care.
• Helping to maintain a calm, comfortable and welcoming environment throughout the night.
About Stroud House
Stroud House is a specialist 25-bed residential care home in Petersfield, providing a warm and homely environment for older people, including those living with complex dementia.
Our team is committed to providing person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience working as a Care Assistant within a care home, residential or healthcare setting.
• Has experience providing care during night shifts or is comfortable working nights.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Is compassionate, patient and respectful.
• Understands the importance of dignity, choice and independence.
• Is reliable and committed to delivering excellent care.
• Can work calmly and confidently during the night.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Is flexible and able to work on a zero-hours basis.
Experience supporting Individuals living with dementia would be highly desirable.
