Support Recruiter
Location: Sandton Johannesburg, South Africa Reporting to: Senior Recruitment Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday (Subject to change)
Overview The Support Recruiter is a strategic talent partner responsible for delivering high-quality talent across complex and high-impact support functions and international markets, including the USA, UK and Europe.
The role combines executive-search-level rigour with hands-on recruitment and sourcing expertise, requiring strong market intelligence, proactive headhunting and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across global teams.
As an international-facing role, the position may require flexibility to accommodate different time zones from time to time, with reasonable notice, depending on the markets and roles being supported.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for specialised, senior and leadership-level support roles across local and international markets.
• Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and high-scarcity positions.
• Conduct market
• Process mapping, talent intelligence and competitor analysis to identify and engage high-calibre talent across international regions.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical and recurring support functions.
• Utilise advanced headhunting, direct sourcing and passive candidate engagement techniques to attract niche talent.
• Partner with HR, L&D and global hiring stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and contribute to strategic workforce planning.
• Provide market insights relating to talent availability, salary expectations, sourcing challenges and recruitment trends.
• Act as a trusted recruitment advisor to hiring managers and senior stakeholders throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor junior recruiters, sharing best practices across sourcing, candidate engagement, stakeholder management and recruitment delivery.
• Support the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure recruitment activity maintains a high standard of data accuracy, confidentiality, compliance and DEI principles across all supported geographies.
• Represent the organisation professionally when engaging with candidates, senior stakeholders and external talent markets.
Requirements
• 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably within a fast-paced, international, BPO, CX, technology or corporate environment.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting for specialised, senior and/or leadership positions, with exposure to international placements highly advantageous.
• Strong headhunting and passive candidate sourcing capability, with the ability to identify talent beyond traditional job-board applications.
• Proven experience with market mapping and talent intelligence across multiple talent markets.
• Strong understanding of global recruitment trends, sourcing methodologies and market-specific talent strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex vacancies and recruitment priorities simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior and global hiring stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance candidate experience, business requirements and recruitment timelines.
• Flexibility to accommodate international time zones when required, with reasonable notice.
