Title: North America Sourcing Project Manager

Location: High Point, North Carolina (Onsite)

About the Role:

The NA Sourcing Project Manager owns the day-to-day execution of North America sourcing and production initiatives, serving as the primary link between external suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for keeping tooling builds, supplier onboarding, production ramp-up, and quality checklist tracking on schedule and clearly communicated, freeing up leadership to focus on strategy, vendor selection, and pricing negotiations. This is a hands-on execution and coordination role supporting a focused supplier base (approximately 2–4 key NA suppliers).

Job Responsibilities:

Tooling Program Management

• Coordinate tooling builds with NA suppliers, tracking schedules from kickoff through completion

• Manage the transfer of tools from overseas to the USA, including logistics coordination and timeline tracking

• Proactively identify schedule risks and escalate issues before they impact production timing

• Maintain organized, up-to-date records of tooling status across all active projects

Supplier Communication & Relationship Management

• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact with NA suppliers on delivery status, lead times, and quality issues

• Translate supplier updates into clear, actionable information for internal stakeholders, and vice versa

• Support supplier management, including responding to routine needs, escalations, and follow-up communication

New Tool Ramp-Up & Production Approvals

• Manage new tool ramp timelines and coordinate resolution of ramp-related issues with suppliers

• Track and help facilitate production part approvals, ensuring documentation and sign-offs move on schedule

Quality Tracking & Reporting

• Manage and track quality inspections using established checklists and inspection criteria across multiple SKUs

• Keep quality reporting organized and current; flag any issues or deviations discovered during inspections

• Maintain clear documentation trails so issues can be traced and followed up on efficiently

Supplier Discovery & Onboarding

• Conduct initial discovery and outreach to identify potential new suppliers (injection molding, metal forming, and related processes)

• Vet new suppliers using the pre-built supplier onboarding checklist and compile findings for review

• Participate in joint supplier visits for validation, and conduct solo follow-up visits as needed (e.g., re-inspections, ongoing validation)

• Prepare clear visit summaries/reports following supplier visits, capturing both checklist results and general observations

New Product Development Project Support

• Support new development projects specifically designed for North America production, co-designed with NA suppliers in mind

• Manage timelines and schedules for NPD

• Coordinate communication between internal teams and external supplier partners throughout the development process

Required Job Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience managing multiple concurrent supplier-facing projects or timelines, ideally in a manufacturing or sourcing environment

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting across multiple SKUs and suppliers

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable translating between external partners and internal stakeholders

• Sound judgment on when to resolve an issue independently versus escalate

• Comfort working independently while representing the company at supplier sites

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience in supplier/tooling program coordination will be considered in lieu of a degree

• Familiarity with injection molding, metal forming, or similar manufacturing processes (not required, but helpful)

• Prior experience with tooling programs, new product introduction (NPI), or supplier onboarding

• Experience coordinating between US and Asia-based operations or suppliers

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

• Expertise in strategic and operational sourcing, supplier management, and vendor negotiations

• Strong knowledge of North America manufacturing and supply chain operations

• Knowledge of injection molding, tooling, and manufacturing processes

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to evaluate product costs, landed costs, pricing, and profit margins

• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to influence and drive accountability across cross-functional teams and external partners

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong follow-through

• Passion for sustainability and interest in responsible product development and sourcing

• Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment and willing to wear multiple hats

Success Factors:

• Successfully manages the end-to-end North America sourcing process, from identifying and qualifying suppliers through ongoing vendor performance management

• Expands and strengthens PSB's North America and onshore manufacturing capabilities, including injection molding opportunities

• Delivers product development initiatives and new product launches on time while meeting quality, cost, and margin objectives

• Maintains an accurate and actionable product master schedule and proactively resolves risks that could impact speed to market

• Builds strong partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.

• Creates clear accountability, urgency, and alignment across product development, sourcing, and cross-functional teams

• Identifies opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, strengthen supply chain resilience, and improve operational efficiency

• Thrives in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment by taking ownership and adapting to changing business priorities

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly organized with strong experience in product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and project management. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with teams and partners across North America and internationally.
