Navitas is looking for an enthusiastic and performance-driven Future Student Profiling & Promotions Project Officer for one of our esteemed university partners, The University of Sydney, Australia. Based in Guangzhou, this exciting opportunity will support the Global Marketing function by developing compelling alumni stories, driving social media engagement across key Chinese platforms, and delivering innovative marketing projects that enhance brand visibility and influence prospective students.

The role will create culturally relevant content, strengthen audience engagement through creative storytelling, provide social media guidance and support to colleges and university stakeholders, and help safeguard the institution's reputation through proactive community management, brand monitoring, and timely responses to enquiries and feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and showcase authentic student and alumni success stories across China to support recruitment, marketing, and brand awareness objectives.

• Travel extensively throughout China to source compelling testimonials, case studies, and content that highlights student achievements and experiences.

• Build strong relationships with students, graduates, and stakeholders to uncover engaging storytelling opportunities and promote positive student outcomes.

• Create, manage, and optimise content calendars and multi-format content across Chinese social media platforms, ensuring maximum audience engagement and platform relevance.

• Transform creative concepts into impactful visual and video content that resonates with prospective students and strengthens brand visibility.

• Monitor social media performance, respond to enquiries, analyse engagement metrics, and continuously refine content strategies to improve results.

• Collaborate closely with regional teams, colleges, and university stakeholders while independently managing projects, travel, deadlines, website updates, and other marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Media, or a related discipline.

• 2-3 years’ experience in social media management within China, particularly in content marketing and new media operations.

• Proven ability to create authentic, high-impact content while maintaining brand consistency across multiple platforms and audiences.

• Hands-on experience managing social media platforms including Douyin, WeChat, and Little Red Book, with a track record of increasing brand awareness and engagement.

• Creative and adaptable content creator with strong copywriting skills and a keen awareness of social trends, emerging topics, and audience preferences.

• Strong visual storytelling skills, with proficiency in content creation and editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro.

• Excellent organisational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with native-level Chinese proficiency and strong written and verbal English capabilities.

Desirable

• Experience using project and task management tools such as ASANA to effectively coordinate and deliver projects.

• Strong understanding of the latest digital marketing trends, content performance metrics, analytics, and industry best practices.

• Experience with SQL, data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Google Data Studio), and familiarity with student recruitment or the education sector.
