Executive Assistant — Deputy SSC Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base, California | Remote Work: No | Clearance: Active | Travel: Up to
The Executive Assistant provides direct executive, task-management, and operational support to the Deputy, Space Systems Command . The EA serves as a trusted extension of the Deputy, managing priorities, calendars, correspondence, meetings, decision support, leadership taskings, and executive engagements in a fast-paced, classified environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Deputy calendar, meetings, travel, correspondence, read-ahead materials, briefings, and leadership engagements.
• Receive, route, track, staff, and close executive taskings using the Department of War Task Management Tool.
• Maintain action trackers, suspense logs, decision registers, milestone schedules, and performance dashboards.
• Prepare executive-ready briefings, talking points, memoranda, meeting agendas, read-aheads, executive summaries, and action minutes.
• Coordinate staffing and information flow across SSC staff organizations, Program Executive Offices, U.S. Space Force headquarters, mission partners, and external stakeholders.
• Support governance forums, strategic-planning activities, organizational-change initiatives, and continuous-process-improvement efforts.
• Ensure documents, records, and communications comply with security, classification, records-management, and information-protection requirements.
Required Qualifications
• years of Department of War support experience.
• Experience with the Department of War Task Management Tool.
• Experience developing and presenting materials for senior government or Department of War leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, metrics, and short-fuse taskings.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and active
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Combatant Commands, Service Component Commands, SSC, or U.S. Space Force organizations.
• Knowledge of U.S. Space Force missions, organization, and national-security space acquisition.
• Technical writing, executive briefing, governance, and performance-management experience.
