About the Dalhousie Student Union
The Dalhousie Student Union (DSU) is the official representative body for more than 20,000 Dalhousie students, providing advocacy, services, programming, and support for over 250 student societies to enhance student life and build community on campus.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Be self-directed, show initiative, and have the ability to work independently
- Possess excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Have good communication skills, be able to maintain relationships with community partners, and the ability to engage students in discussion on sustainability issues
- Be organized and have the ability to manage their time effectively between multiple projects
- Possess knowledge on both environmental and social sustainability issues
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating closely with others to create and support a variety of sustainability- related programming on campus
- Strengthening DSUSO relationships with existing groups on and off campus
- Engaging volunteers for programming and events
- Helping to manage social media accounts
- Conducting community outreach and promoting campus sustainability initiatives
- Keeping updated records of expenses
This is a paid part-time position for 7 hours per week. The position starts in September
2026 and the end date is April 30th, 2027.
