CCLI is looking for an On Call Housekeeper with a generous heart to work at Talbot House, a residential withdrawal and stabilization center licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). Responsibilities:
• Coordinate client housekeeping activities by performing routine duties to maintain and clean the building and ensure building equipment stays in good working order.
• Schedule and supervise clients performing cleaning activities.
• Perform cleaning duties including, but not limited to, daily mopping of floors, weekly floor buffing and waxing, dusting, cleaning screens on windows, washing furniture and fixtures, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc.
• Complete routine maintenance functions such as, but not limited to: lubricating doors, changing light bulbs, minor repairs using carpentry, painting or plumbing skills etc.
• Move office furniture and supplies within the building and to other locations.
• Arrange for daily debris pick up on premises.
• Attend various meetings as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanic background including knowledge of electrical, plumbing systems and carpentry.
• At least 2 yrs. of experience in general household repairs plus the ability to secure methods of other repairs from tradesmen with maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have valid and current NYS driver’s license.
• May need to work outdoors in inclement weather to shovel snow from walkway.
Schedule: 8 hour shift – 4 shifts per month
Rate of Pay: $22 per hour
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation which may be applicable to this position. $22 per hour
