About this role
AirPro Diagnostics — Auggie Air Production Line
About the Role
AirPro Diagnostics is looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations on the Auggie Air assembly line — an ADAS (automotive camera calibration) tablet-style device. This role leads a team of assembly technicians and electronic assemblers, keeping the line running smoothly, on schedule, and to quality standard, while developing the skills of the people on it.
Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate daily activities across the Auggie Air assembly team, including bench assembly and electrical harness build stations
• Assign work and balance staffing across stations to keep the line flowing and meet daily/weekly production targets
• Train, coach, and mentor assembly technicians and new hires on work instructions, quality guidelines, and safe handling of sensitive components
• Monitor cycle times and step in to resolve bottlenecks at key stations
• Perform in-process quality checks and escalate recurring defects or process issues to manufacturing and quality leadership
• Track and report production data — units completed, cycle times, defect/rework rates, and staffing hours
• Coordinate with other departments (manufacturing, quality, IT, and engineering) when team members are pulled to support other priorities, and keep an accurate record of that time
• Reinforce a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training plans for new assembly hires
• Communicate line status, staffing needs, and material shortages to the Manufacturing Supervisor
Requirements
• Prior experience in electronics or electromechanical assembly, including some time leading or supervising others
• Solid working knowledge of soldering, wiring, and assembly quality practices, and safe handling of static-sensitive components
• Ability to read and interpret build documentation, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
• Strong communication and coaching skills; comfortable directing, training, and holding a team accountable
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to track production data and juggle multiple priorities
• A problem-solving mindset — able to spot bottlenecks and drive process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior team lead or supervisory experience in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace, or similar)
• IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with inventory or MES/production tracking software
• Experience training new assemblers on complex harness or sub-assembly builds
What We Offer

• Structured training on AirPro's assembly standards and processes
