About this role

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.

We are hiring a Marketing Technology Lead to own Lyft's B2B marketing technology stack, spanning marketing automation, content and web, lead routing, data enrichment, and attribution. As the senior technical owner of that stack, you will lead solution design, own the architecture and data model that carry a lead from first touch through to a qualified opportunity, and partner with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Technology, Privacy, Legal, and Data to translate business needs into durable, scalable systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows B2B marketing operations, can build the systems that run them, and is looking for ways to bring AI into how the stack works, not just what it produces.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the senior technical owner of the B2B marketing technology stack, from solution design through delivery, adoption, and ongoing support. Lead requirements gathering with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Technology, and Data partners, and translate them into functional and technical designs. Remain hands-on, configuring and extending the marketing automation platform (HubSpot) across workflows, forms, lead scoring, and custom objects, and building the integrations that connect the stack. Own the marketing technology roadmap and architecture, including the lead and account data model, enrichment and routing logic, and integrations with the CRM, data platform, web, and advertising systems. Own the tracking and instrumentation layer, including tag management, site and campaign tracking, and the data capture behind attribution. Own the lead lifecycle systems, partnering with Sales Operations and Sales Technology on lead identity, deduplication, scoring, routing, MQL and SQL definitions, and funnel stage integrity. Identify where AI can improve the stack, from lead scoring and routing to content and campaign workflows, and lead the evaluation, adoption, and rollout of those capabilities. Assess the stack against target state and introduce new tools as the marketing motion matures. Set the technical standard through design review and documentation that accounts for failure states, scalability, and supportability. Maintain platform reliability by monitoring performance and email deliverability, supporting incident resolution, leading postmortems, and driving automation. Own governance and controls for marketing data, including consent and subscription management, email and privacy compliance, data quality, and change management. Own the marketing tool portfolio and budget, from evaluation and selection through procurement, contracting, and renewals, partnering with Procurement, Legal, and Security. Serve as the technical expert and escalation point, and deliver technical enablement to partner teams. Partner with marketing leaders on prioritization, mentor the engineers and contractors supporting the stack, and support hiring. Communicate marketing technology strategy, roadmap, and vision to partner teams, and give senior leadership decision-ready updates on progress, risks, and tradeoffs.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of experience in a marketing technology, marketing operations engineering, or business systems role, including 3+ years leading solution design and delivery. 5+ years of hands-on administration and configuration of a B2B marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua), with at least one active platform certification. Hands-on depth in at least two platform categories beyond marketing automation, such as content management, lead routing, data enrichment, ABM, analytics, or attribution. 3+ years hands-on in Salesforce or an equivalent CRM, and 3 or more delivered integrations to systems such as a data warehouse or CMS using REST APIs, webhooks, or middleware. Hands-on experience with tag management and web or campaign tracking instrumentation. Led end-to-end delivery of at least 2 large, cross-functional marketing technology programs, including one platform implementation or migration. Experience providing technical direction to engineers, contractors, or implementation partners. Strong understanding of B2B demand generation and lead-to-opportunity workflows, including lead scoring, routing, attribution, and funnel reporting. Proven ability to communicate technical direction and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders, and present roadmap and status to senior leadership. Experience with marketing data quality, consent and subscription management, and email and privacy compliance (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Experience with a cloud data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake, and with SQL, is a plus.
