Requisition Identification 13076 Closing Date 16 September 2026 Operating Model Entity Reginal Operations and Asset Services Location Temane Purpose of Job The Facilities Engineer I provides engineering support for plant improvement projects, engineering studies, and technical support activities for operating and development assets. The role contributes to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities through the application of engineering principles, standards, and best practices. The Facilities Engineer I supports the development and execution of engineering scopes during the Assess, Select, Define and Execute phases of projects under the guidance of senior engineering personnel. The incumbent participates in engineering activities from conceptual studies through construction, commissioning, start-up, and handover to Operations, ensuring compliance with approved project requirements, quality standards, schedules, and budgets. The Facilities Engineer I provides technical engineering support including troubleshooting, problem-solving, reliability improvement, and optimization of operated assets. The role works closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Safety, Maintenance, and Operations personnel, to support project delivery and operational excellence. The Facilities Engineer I contributes to the development and implementation of engineering quality plans and engineering deliverables for Regional Operations and Asset Services Mozambique (ROAS Mozambique) projects in accordance with the Integrated Exploration and Production Management System (IEPMS). The incumbent supports coordination with Mozambique Gas Projects (MGP), engineering contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. The Facilities Engineer I participates in ROAS projects from conceptual studies and front-end engineering through detailed engineering, commissioning, and handover. The role provides input into technical definition, engineering design reviews, planning, cost control, and safe delivery of engineering activities while developing competency in facilities engineering and project execution. The Facilities Engineer I supports the execution of small onshore projects (Tier 4 and Tier 5) and contributes engineering input to larger projects executed by the MGP team (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3). Key Accountabilities Delivery Target Achievement (Production Volume, Projects, Yield, Availability) · Achieve individual performance targets and assigned deliverables. · Support the integration of technical activities, stakeholders, contractors, and interfaces with other disciplines. · Contribute to engineering studies, project activities, and technical improvement initiatives. · Provide input into integrated discipline engineering plans. · Support project execution in accordance with approved schedules and objectives. · Participate in facility performance monitoring and optimization activities. Quality Results (Product Quality, Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction) · Apply established engineering, technical, and operational standards. · Support the management of engineering scopes and assist with evaluations of scope changes. Assist in the preparation and review of engineering scopes of work, technical specifications, and contractor requirements. · Participate in engineering reviews, technical assurance processes, risk assessments, and quality management activities. · Support implementation of Engineering Technical Quality Plans (ETQP). · Facilitate compliance with project engineering specifications, procedures, and standards. · Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks. · Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, and company requirements. Cost / Capital Competitiveness · Deliver assigned work within approved cost and schedule requirements. · Contribute to the identification of cost-effective engineering solutions. · Support budget preparation, cost estimation, tracking, and reporting activities. · Assist in monitoring engineering contractor performance against approved budgets. Productivity Results · Support initiatives aimed at improving facility reliability, availability, and productivity. · Assist with implementation of Engineering Execution Plans (EEP). · Participate in engineering optimization and continuous improvement activities. · Contribute to achieving project and operational performance objectives. · Support the implementation of lessons learned and best practices across projects and facilities. Formal Education Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation Engineering, or another relevant Engineering discipline. Working Experience Experience: 3+ relevant years Additional Requirements · Exposure to engineering studies, project execution, facility operations, or maintenance activities; · Basic understanding of project development phases, engineering design processes, and project delivery methodologies; · Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams; · Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and statutory requirements relevant to the oil and gas industry; · Exposure to contractor and engineering service provider interactions would be advantageous; · Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and risk management requirements within industrial operations; · Experience in production facility operations, maintenance, or reliability improvement activities would be advantageous; · Willingness to travel for business purposes and support field activities when required.
