About this role

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a flexible Class 1 ADR Driver to join our team in Hinckley . You’ll be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods such as lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK for our client Octopus. This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a Monday to Friday pattern, start times vary averaging from 05:00 to 06:00, contracted to 48 hours per week. Opportunities for career development and progression, as well as training enrichment and multiskilling, in a dynamic working environment What you’ll do on a typical day: Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required) Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts What you need to succeed at GXO: Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card ADR licence, minimum class 9 - miscellaneous dangerous substances, with packages preferred Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable) Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and excellent customer service Ability to work independently with a professional approach We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
