Key Responsibilities Lead the India General Merchandise sourcing portfolio, developing and executing sourcing strategies that support business growth, sourcing diversification, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity. Build and manage a high-performing sourcing team, providing leadership, coaching, talent development, performance management, and succession planning across a multi-category sourcing organisation. Develop and strengthen supplier partnerships, driving supplier identification, onboarding, capability development, performance improvement, negotiation, and sourcing diversification initiatives. Lead sourcing execution from product development to shipment, ensuring effective costing, critical path management, risk mitigation, quality compliance, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with Buying, Quality, Planning, Inventory and other stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes, solve business challenges, and achieve sourcing objectives. Key Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous. 15+ years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, buying, retail, or trading office environments, with proven leadership experience managing teams. Strong experience in supplier management, product development, costing, negotiation, sourcing diversification, and commercial decision-making. Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies, drive business performance, and manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple functions and geographies.
