We're looking for an Account Manager to join our Industrial NZ team, supporting customers across the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Central North Island and Hawke's Bay regions. This is a strategically important role and the only dedicated Industrial Account Manager based in the Bay of Plenty, providing local support to customers across sectors including energy, agriculture, manufacturing, wood processing, paints and coatings. About your role Based in Mount Maunganui, you’ll manage an established portfolio of customers across a large geographic territory spanning Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Central North Island and Hawke’s Bay. This role combines relationship management, business development and customer support. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their operations, identify opportunities for growth and ensure they receive the products and support they need. While Mount Maunganui is the preferred base for this role, we're open to candidates located anywhere within the Bay of Plenty region who can effectively service the territory and maintain strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an established portfolio of industrial customers. Build strong customer relationships through regular site visits and account management activities. Identify and develop new business opportunities across the territory. Work closely with Product Managers and technical teams to provide customer solutions. Support customers with bulk chemical storage requirements, product applications and site inspections. Collaborate with logistics, customer service and supply teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. Maintain customer information, pricing and opportunities within CRM and SAP systems. Who are we looking for? We are open to exploring different backgrounds if you come with the right drive, motivation and willingness to learn, we can teach you the technical components. Experience in sales, account management, business development or customer-facing commercial roles. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Confidence working independently and managing your own territory. A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving customer problems. The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong customer service. 3-5 years' sales or account management experience. Experience in chemicals, manufacturing, industrial, agriculture or energy-related industries, will be highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering or Business would be advantageous. Ideally based in Mount Maunganui, or elsewhere within the Bay of Plenty.
