About this role
Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of chargehands, assistant supervisors and sub-contractors to perform on-site hull painting, cleaning and ‘O’ level task activities Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man hour returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues Update daily manpower deployment record and over time Liaise with owners and paint representative and surveyor on complying with paint specification and requirements Attend the daily VSCC meeting if necessary Obtain entry into confined space permits or any other work permit system. Inspect and update check list Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule Prepare reports on job status and project completion Inspect vessels and ensure proper handling over to customers Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues Update weekly progress and attend meeting Requirements: NTC/Diploma in any Engineering field At least 5 years working experience in a shipyard or similar environment Possess FROSIO, SSPC or NACE would be advantageous Knowledge of Blasting and Painting operation Able to interpret technical drawings and paint specifications Able to make decision, render judgment and take appropriate actions Able to work under pressure and respond to changes on short notice Other Information: Location: 55 Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided) 5 days work week Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
