What is the Role: Reporting to the Compliance Monitoring Manager, the Compliance Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for assisting in delivery of high-quality compliance monitoring reviews across AIB Group. The Compliance Monitoring team is part of the ‘Second Line of Defence’ Compliance Function and is led by the Head of Compliance Monitoring reporting to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee. The Compliance Function provides advice, assurance, monitoring and reporting of the Bank’s regulatory compliance, conduct, and culture risk, and this role provides an opportunity for the right person to play a key role across the organisation. Key accountabilities: Assisting in delivery of high-quality compliance monitoring activities across in-scope AIB business areas in line with the compliance monitoring methodology and plan. Reviewing evidence and documenting test results, recording observations and resolving queries. Monitoring and following up on open actions to ensure all issues are remediated. Maintaining a structured file for each review. Consulting with the compliance advisory teams to ensure that the selection, scope setting and approach to delivering reviews are planned and targeted effectively. Supporting review planning, taking into consideration regulatory requirements, breaches, complaints, Operational Risk MI and KPI information, as appropriate. Support the Compliance Monitoring Manager in discussing the compliance monitoring outputs with relevant business areas and agree any required remedial actions. On an ad-hoc basis, contribute to committee and board reports to ensure senior management are up to date and aware of key compliance issues. Support the Compliance Monitoring Manager and Head of Compliance Monitoring in maintaining the Compliance Monitoring methodology and team templates. What you Will Bring: Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services, compliance, risk, or audit environment. Understanding of risks and controls and the ability to identify control gaps or weaknesses. High-level understanding of the regulatory landscape, our regulators, and how regulation impacts AIB as a business. Experience working with IT systems including word documents and spreadsheets, with a strong ability to learn new systems. Excellent written communication skills which can be applied to testing and reporting tasks.
