Job Type: Full Time Shift + Hours : 12-hour shifts – 6am-6pm- DuPont Schedule The Resin Operator safely operates, and monitors equipment used to process, blend, extrude, and package resin products. This role follows established safety, quality, and operating procedures, maintains accurate production records, performs equipment cleaning and inspections, and supports efficient plant operations in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition Ability to read and follow written procedures Wear and maintain PPE as required Follow site 5S program Expected to cover overtime and/or openings in regular schedule to keep plant operating efficiently Ability to work on fork lift, electric pallet jack, scales, strapping machine, stretch wrapper, drum mover, drum tipper, blenders, guillotine, granulators, skids, etc. Obtain and maintain valid fork truck license. Responsible for the size reduction of polyurethane batches using hydraulic guillotine and granulator. Clean size reduction equipment following established procedures Responsible for the extrusion process; including being able to start, maintain, and shutdown the process. Perform in-process checks as required Clean extrusion systems following established procedures Responsible for packaging finished granules and pellets as instructed. Clean packaging systems following established procedures Calculate and add quantity of anti-blocking agent to in process and final blends of material as instructed Conform to plant Quality Management System to maintain material traceability through the resin process Maintain accurate and complete documentation of run time condition and variations from established parameters on production work orders. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor. Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions and maintain quality standards. Issue maintenance work orders using SAP system Identify, label, and quarantine non-conforming materials Manage waste generated from the process and its disposal Work closely with engineering to suggest possible process improvements Be able to record information on to logs and work orders with high level of accuracy. Perform other related duties as required or as directed by your supervisor. Follow training progression as defined in the plant Training and Role Matrix How You’ll Make an Impact Basic math skills – able to calculate gross, tare, and net weights Computer skills – must be able to use email systems, Computer Based Training, MS Excel, MS Word, and SAP. Experience in plastics/manufacturing industry is preferred but not required Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
