Everything we do is guided by our purpose: Protects What’s Good . We are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Services team in Brazil. In this role, you will design, implement, troubleshoot, and validate automation solutions that help customers optimize the performance, reliability, and efficiency of their processing equipment and production operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on automation professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with advanced industrial technologies, and supporting projects with a strong focus on innovation. You will collaborate closely with customers, Service Engineers, Account Managers, and cross-functional teams across the Americas to deliver solutions that meet both customer expectations and Tetra Pak quality standards. You will play a key role throughout the lifecycle of automation systems, from commissioning and system upgrades to troubleshooting and integration with digital solutions. Your work will contribute to improving operational performance and enabling customers to leverage technologies such as cloud-based data platforms, dashboards, artificial intelligence, and smart devices. You will be based in Monte Mor or São Paulo, SP, Brazil. You may be required to travel to customer sites up to 75% of your time across the Americas. Tetra Pak does not offer support for visa or relocation for this position. What you will do • Provide remote automation support, technical services, and commissioning/start-up activities for Tetra Pak processing equipment; • Develop and implement upgrades to automation systems, ensuring reliable and efficient operation; • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial networks, databases, Input/Output (I/O) servers, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems; • Support VMware environments remotely across customer operations throughout the Americas; • Partner with Service Engineers to deliver technical solutions and support customer needs; • Support sales activities by providing technical expertise and assisting with customer issue resolution; • Conduct customer visits and collaborate with Account Managers and Service Managers to support service activities and strengthen customer relationships; • Analyze system designs and develop, adapt, or optimize Human-Machine Interface (HMI), database, and PLC programs to meet project requirements; • Support projects involving the integration of industrial automation systems with digital solutions, including cloud-based data platforms, dashboards, artificial intelligence tools, and smart devices. We believe you have • A degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field; • Solid experience within the industrial automation sector; • Intermediate proficiency in English and basic knowledge of Spanish; • Experience in the food and beverage and/or pharmaceutical industry is highly valued; • Experience programming, implementing, and supporting industrial automation systems; • Strong knowledge of automation platforms, system architecture, processing equipment, and industrial processes; • Proven expertise with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Ethernet networks, AS-i Bus and industrial network configuration, as well as Wonderware InTouch and FactoryTalk View Human-Machine Interface (HMI) solutions; • Familiarity with Siemens PLC platforms, including Step7 and TIA Portal, is considered an advantage; • Experience with the Tetra Pak Automation Platform (PlantMaster) is desirable; • Working knowledge of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar solutions is preferred; • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and SAP R/3 is desirable; • The ability to collaborate effectively within virtual and multicultural teams; • A customer-focused mindset and understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction; • The ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a dynamic environment; • A proactive approach to learning, sharing knowledge, and working with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures.
