At Hinkley Point C, we're helping to build Britain's first new nuclear power station in a generation-providing zero carbon electricity for around six million homes. As a Tier One partner, GXO delivers essential warehousing and transport services to support the project. Here at GXO, we're looking for a Health & Safety Advisor on our Brockworth site to champion safety standards, drive a proactive safety culture, and support our teams across a complex and highly regulated environment. This is a full-time permanent position. You'll be working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am to 4pm. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all! What you'll do on a typical day: • Developing, leading and maintaining Management Plans, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) • Delivering and recording colleague safety training while identifying and escalating any gaps • Inputting, analysing and reporting Health, Safety and Environment data into both GXO and Client systems • Chairing and presenting at HSE meetings, ensuring actions are tracked, closed and escalated where required • Managing contractors end to end-from permit checks and inductions to compliance, pass control and exit requirements Qualifications: • NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (plus evidence of ongoing CPD) What you need to succeed at GXO: • NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (plus evidence of ongoing CPD) • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and proven experience promoting a safety first culture • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels • Experience within construction, infrastructure or defence environments (ideal but not essential) • Confidence in auditing, risk assessment, incident investigation and driving continuous improvement Benefits: • We're looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). • Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme.
