Learn more: jti.com Department: Corporate Affairs & Communications Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia Reporting to: Corporate Affairs & Communications Director Role : Permanent Agronomy Technical and Community Investment Manager This role is established to provide strategic guidance and support in Agronomy and Leaf Production to Cambodian authorities and Tobacco Leaf Associations, ensuring the successful achievement of their "Collective Mark" objectives. The position requires expertise in functional competencies and effective project execution to drive advancements in leaf production and community investment initiatives. As the Agronomy Technical and Community Investment Manager , you will: Acting as a liaison between JTI, Cambodian authorities, communities, and tobacco leaf associations. Planning and coordinating "Model Demonstration Plots" to assess Flue-cured Virginia and Burley tobacco leaf production compared to traditional practices. Developing suitable training materials and solutions to address identified gaps in agronomy practices. Implementing digital systems for efficiency improvements, ensuring leaf provenance and traceability Promoting Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Sustainable/Regenerative Agriculture principles to growers. Managing trials and demonstration plots focused on soil management, irrigation, pest control, curing technologies, and regulatory compliance. Ensuring optimal agricultural input requirements and adherence to regulatory standards Coordinating with JTI and ESG&A teams to deliver targeted training programs. Planning and conducting field training days that combine practical and theoretical learning. Supporting the development and delivery of training materials and systems aligned with company objectives Serving as the main point of contact between JTI teams and external stakeholders, including growers, authorities, and research institutions. Ensuring technical alignment and smooth project implementation. Maintaining compliance with JTI policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards. Recording trial data and stakeholder feedback to refine strategies Designing and managing community investment initiatives, including grant programs and community engagement activities. Building relationships with stakeholders and measuring the impact of investment programs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 5 years in agricultural production, preferably tobacco, or agronomy extension services. Experience in Training & Development is an advantage Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work independently with a proactive attitude Analytical expertise and proficiency in MS Office applications. Interest in training and development with solid planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills Fluent in English. Other: Willingness to travel for field visits, meetings, and training sessions.
