Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionJoin a dynamic team providing essential environmental cleaning services on an active construction site. You will be responsible for cleaning exposed interior surfaces from the floor to the building deck above, ensuring a clean and safe environment during and after construction. Responsibilities • Clean all exposed interior surfaces within the construction area from the floor to the building deck above. • Perform tasks such as mopping, wiping, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to remove dust and dirt. • Utilize scissor lifts and boom poles for hard-to-reach areas, along with brooms and towels. • Remain alert while working around ongoing construction activities. • Pressure wash outside panels, generator coverings, and flooring once installed. • Perform tasks while standing, kneeling, bending, and using ladders. Essential Skills • Experience in construction, cleaning, and general labor. • Proficiency in using hand tools and working with heavy equipment. • Understanding of working alongside other trades and using scissor lifts. • 1+ years of experience in a laborious role. • Ability to stand for 10+ hours a day. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Valid driver's license. • Pre-employment drug and background check. • Ability to work in all weather conditions, both hot and cold. Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional longer days and overtime. Expect a 42-hour workweek on average, with occasional Saturdays. The first day begins at 5:30 AM and includes orientation. Pack your lunch with an ice pack, as there are no fridges available, but microwaves are provided. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt supplied by the contractor. Personal protective equipment such as ANSI-Z89 hard hats, ANSI-Z87 safety glasses, ANSI safety vests, and Level 2-4 cut-resistant gloves are supplied unless contractors already have them. Work is 90% inside and 10% outside, with power washing continuing through winter. A 10-minute walk from the parking lot to the guard shack is required for daily check-ins, and contractors will work in groups of 4-5. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
