About this role

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role supports both assembly and material handling teams to keep production and packaging running smoothly. You will perform manual and powered tool assemblies on an assembly line, follow detailed work procedures, and contribute to shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities. The position offers comprehensive cross-training so you can develop a broad skill set across both production and materials operations.Responsibilities

• Perform manual and powered assemblies on an assembly line using hand and power tools according to provided work instructions. • Support robotics assembly and testing by following standardized procedures and documenting results as required. • Handle material movement, including bringing components and materials to the production team and supporting warehouse workflows. • Assist with product packaging to ensure finished goods are prepared correctly for shipment. • Conduct component testing and participate in data collection to verify product performance and quality. • Perform visual inspections on parts and assemblies to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns. • Support shipping and receiving activities, including preparing inventory for shipment and receiving incoming materials. • Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation to maintain accurate stock levels and documentation. • Follow lean practices where applicable, including 5S and continuous improvement activities, to maintain an organized and efficient work area. • Collaborate with team members, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment. • Learn and perform new duties as needed, working effectively with minimal supervision once trained. Essential Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency using a variety of hand tools to assemble and repair large mechanical assemblies. • Dexterity for manual assembly work and the ability to handle small and large components accurately. • Strength and endurance to assemble, install, and test larger components, including safely handling items up to 50 lbs. • Ability to use basic power tools such as drills and torque screwdrivers. • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions for each assembly job. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and leadership. • Ability to train, learn new duties, and perform work with minimal supervision once trained. • Ability to read work instructions and apply them accurately to assembly and material handling tasks. • Experience with hand tools such as torque screwdrivers, drills, and related equipment. • Any prior assembly including mechanical, electrical, or general production assembly experience. • Any prior warehouse knowledge , including picking, stocking, or material handling experience. • Comfort working on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools. • Familiarity with 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient workspace. • Exposure to Kaizen or continuous improvement practices. • Experience with manufacturing execution systems. • Certificate or degree in electro-mechanical or related technical fields. • Exposure to reading or interpreting blueprints. • Interest in electrical and mechanical concepts related to assembly and testing. • Willingness to be cross-trained across both assembly production lines and warehouse operations. The environment involves frequent use of hand tools and power tools such as drills and torque screwdrivers, as well as interaction with robotics assemblies, mechanical components, and warehouse equipment. Work includes standing for extended periods, handling components up to 50 lbs, and moving materials within the facility. The workplace emphasizes organized, lean practices and clean, structured work areas to support safe and efficient operations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of NORTH READING, MA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
